Coming from Italy at the end of the 19th century, Vitorio Basso arrived in Brazil bringing a great deal of hope and some vine seedlings. In a place called Al Perso, today the city of Flores da Cunha, he began producing wine, a tradition diligently followed by his descendants. Later, in mid-1940, Hermido Basso founded the first winery of the family, known then as Cantina Rural, which today is Vinícola Irmãos Basso, located in Monte Berico, 2nd District of Farroupilha.
The Basso family has grown their own vineyards for the production of fine wines and sparkling wines, taking special care of the raw material that is a fundamental factor for product quality. Additionally, it has acquired leading-edge Italian equipment that combined with family tradition produces unforgettable wines and sparkling wines.
Several factors contribute to the production of unique products: the excellence of the cultivation and production process, the sophisticated design of the labels and packaging in addition to the quality of capsules and corks made to order.
